I am in LOVE with this service here at Uptown Laser!!! In the areas treated (facial, including chin) I saw results INSTANTLY!! I was nervous about my sensitivite skin but they perform discrete test areas to ensure the NEXT visit your skin has responded to the laser appropriately! They're very cautious & caring with the customers! The 1st visit was a great informational sit down, then giving me the option to start same day or wait if I wanted. Appreciated the space to make decision, best for me! Staff is great! love the new facility, more spacious! Overall 5 stars for customer service, laser service, facility, comfort, results, AND pricing!! 👇🏿 Oh Almost forgot more than reasonable pricing considering the market rate!!! DON'T THINK that b/c the price is less expensive than the market rate that its a bad deal, NOT TRUE! IT IS A GREAT DEAL!! Thankful they provide this service at an affordable rate for so many to experience a life of confidence after hair removal, that normally wouldn't be able to!! I have tried every hair removal out there in the past 35 years. Lasers that hurt but did not get rid of the facial hair. Electrolytes never worked for me either. I just had to keep it waxed, bleached, tweezered or shaved. I was so self conscious and as a last try I kept seeing Uptowns Facebook ads and thought why not try one LAST time! To my surprise it is a better laser and after 3 treatments I am finally on my way to being facial hair FREE…Deb

The results have been better than I could have ever hoped!! ...I knew I wanted 'the best of the best' and Kathy and her team are absolutely THE BEST OF THE BEST.

Note: If you're a prime candidate for LHR (lighter skin, dark and coarse hair), this review is for you! TLDR: If you're 1) a prime candidate and 2) have a decent threshold for short-term pain, GET YO' HAIRY SELF TO KATHY AND DANA AT UPTOWN LASER!! Context: I purchased a package for bikini line, full legs, and underarms. The results have been better than I could have ever hoped!! From my initial consultation to 7th session (I have one left to use), Uptown Laser's entire staff has been FANTASTIC. The space itself is super clean and pretty, and there are little snacks, beverages, and such in the waiting room if you like. I never had to wait longer than 10 or so minutes, though, so I never sampled them! Lol. 6 out of 7 of my sessions were with Kathy, and my 7th was with Dana. Kathy (the owner and woman you see in the ads) is an absolutely fabulous person, incredibly intelligent, totally down to Earth and easy to talk to. I never felt nervous going into my appointments. I've learned quite a bit about LHR and enjoyed all of my chats with her during our LHR sessions. She would always explain everything that was happening, what would happen, etc. Just a true pleasure to get to know her. I also had the pleasure of meeting Dana on my 7th visit and can highly recommend her, as well - she's very precise, detail-oriented, thorough, mindful, etc. And very easy to speak to, too! :) Regarding the sessions themselves: for me, the first 4 sessions didn't hurt so bad, but by the 5th, it was "starting to smart" more. This pain is likely a mixture of 1) increasing the laser strength over sessions and 2) where your hair growth cycle is at. If the LHR is catching a significant portion of your hair growth at the ideal growth stage, it's *going to hurt.* But that's the whole point - you want that pain because it means the LHR is working!! However, you should NOT be burned or experience redness beyond 24 hrs after treatment. One of my favorite aspects about Uptown Laser is that ONLY nurses can use the LHR machines. You don't have to worry about putting your skin into the hands of someone who may not be experienced or trained well. I've read so many stories on Reddit about bad LHR techs, I knew I wanted "the best of the best" and Kathy and her team are absolutely THE BEST OF THE BEST. Another great thing? SO MUCH CHEAPER than anywhere else. Just try to find a better deal. It's nuts how much Kathy truly cares about providing the best care, at the best price. And *another* great thing? Uptown Laser has the ONLY Candela Laser machine in Kentucky. Again, the best of the best. And *one more* great thing? LIFETIME TOUCH UPS with *just a copay* if you have hair grow back due to hormone shifts. Not a Lifetime Package plan or whatever (you shouldn't need that - LHR is supposed to be permanent, but hormonal hair growth can't be helped). Now that I'm done sounding like an ad, lol... I mean it when I say Uptown Laser is the best, and the staff there are wonderful. I'm so glad I chose them because the experience has been nothing but fantastic. If you're afraid of the process or the price, check out Uptown: Kathy and her crew won't steer you wrong.

I love how welcoming and professional they are. Today was my 5th session. I am doing my bikini area, after the 3rd session I haven't had to shave. The results were amazing, I know everyone is different but this really works. I was told 8 session's, 6 minimum but today nurse Kathy told me to wait at least 6 months for the next session since the results were so good. I really appreciate the fact that she was looking out for me, and based on the results she told me to wait, instead of telling to finish my 8 session's. I thank her for being so honest, it means a lot. I recommend this spa 100% you can see results, I'm not posting pics because It's my bikini area but it's amazing. No more dark spots, or rash, best decision I ever made. Besides being professionals they are kind hard working people that wants the best results for you. I am a 100% happy with the results being Hispanic with dark hair and not having to shave it's a life changer. My skin is know smooth and free of hair. Thank you girls!!

As a middle-aged woman, I want to say this clearly for anyone on the fence: it is absolutely worth it. This has already made my life so much easier. I used to have to shave my face and neck every single day, and even then you could still see a mustache shadow. That alone was exhausting and frustrating. Kathy did my head-to-toe treatment, and she was incredible. She kept me encouraged through the more “spicy” areas and made me feel comfortable the entire time. That kind of support makes a big difference during a full treatment like this. If you’ve been thinking about it—especially if you’re dealing with daily shaving or visible hair—do it. I only wish I had done it sooner.

As a Nurse I'm always looking at cleanliness, accurate information presented + given with any questions asked, procedure protocols + application, privacy concerns honored, after care, employee knowledge + personable attitudes etc. I've completed 3 appointments and even though I ask a lot of questions about training, machine settings, treatment goals and so on - everyone has always been very helpful , informative and I never feel rushed or disregarded in the slightest. In a town where I could have chosen many different hair removal facilities, I will never go anywhere else. In fact, I'm planning to bring family members for an evaluation so they can begin their hair removal journey. Literally can't say enough good things about this place. ❤️

They refunded me around $500 for lip only. My arms are still hairy. Chin and cheeks still have hair. To be fair, my buttcheeks and belly worked. The hair was dark and thick. Consider electrolysis if you’re blonde or even a mix. They were quick to say oh yes we can get rid of that, but no, dark BODY hair only would I trust them or any laser place to remove. You also have to take spironolactone (if you’re like me with hormone issues) forever because new hair will grow back if you don’t. You will also likely need more than the 8 paid treatments. Idk if they’re cheapest or best, but know what you’re getting into. “Beautiful” 5 o’clock shadow pictured.

She went over all my options from which areas to get treated to which payment options were best for me. Once treatment started with Nicole, I was PLEASANTLY surprised with the ease and comfort of it. She worked so quickly and was able to get 2 of my areas done plus Dana came in and helped with my lower legs. They were so gentle and friendly really making me so comfortable; a dream team! I finished off my appointment with Mary at the front desk and she was so sweet and got me rebooked for my next appointment that I can’t wait for. Their reviews made me choose to get my treatment here and I have no regrets…except doing this for myself sooner. I’d give 100 stars if I could!

I strongly recommend anyone to them, and they also offer payment plans through carecredit so everything is manageable and way cheaper compared to chain laser hair removal businesses. 10/10

I am Scottish and Italian with very dark, thick hair and fair sensitive skin. I have been going to Uptown since 2023, and I absolutely love it. The staff is so kind and always makes my experience efficient and comfortable. The nurses are all extremely professional, and I feel like I’m in good hands no matter who I see. I originally did a large area and received a small area for free when I signed up. They were very patient and explaining the process and science behind it to me, and laying out my options before I ever signed anything. I was already budgeting for waxing appointments, and the monthly payment for laser being slightly higher than waxing for permanent results was worth it to me. The pain in my experience is definitely tolerable, and Uptown can get you a prescription for numbing cream at any point in your treatment (I think I finally caved at my 6th). One of the things I didn’t like about waxing at all was having to wait for it to grow back in between each appointment. But between each laser appointment, you get a really sweet hairless period where you basically aren’t growing hair at all. And each time you have another treatment, the remaining hair is thinner and sparser. Even with areas that have only been treated one or two times, the maintenance in between appointments is so remarkably easier than before I had started a treatment. I recommend Uptown to all my friends! It’s a quality worthwhile investment in a wonderful environment. You won’t regret it!

Kathy, her daughters and everyone here at Uptown truly know how to make someone feel so comfortable and confident. They always make sure to answer any questions that I have and reassure any concerns. I have already recommended them to several of my friends. I know it may sound silly but this is a life changing experience especially if you deal with any kind of skin issues like me. After three services I’m already seeing such an improvement in my skin and overall mental health and not itching myself to death every day. I’m just so pleased. I had my initial consultation and treatment with Uptown Laser last Saturday and I cannot rave enough about them! I have been wanting to get laser hair removal done for decades, but the cost and the impermanence of old lasers held me at bay. My friends couldn’t watch me suffer through how my unwanted hair was making me feel and they finally convinced me to book both an electrolysis removal through another provider and a laser hair removal appointment. There are a LOT of places in the area, but Uptown was the place recommended by not only Reddit users but my electrolysis technician as well! The staff were all so patient and kind! I brought my bestie and my girlfriend in to hold my hand through the process and they were super accommodating to us all! My bestie asked Nurse Kathy a million questions and she happily answered them all. Not once did we feel rushed or like we were holding her up. The cost was WAY cheaper than expected ESPECIALLY considering the laser technology and personnel experience they have available to them. They definitely made an amazing first impression and I can’t wait to see the results!

From the moment I walked in, their staff was so kind and welcoming. I came in for the full trifecta; upper lip, chin, and Brazilian. Goodbye mustache, farewell chin fuzz, and so long downstairs disco ball. They don’t judge, they didn’t rush, and they listened to every concern I had (even the dramatic ones). They talked me through each step, made sure I was comfortable, and honestly it helped all the jitters. Their patience and professionalism and their warm energy makes even the most vulnerable appointments feel totally safe 10/10 recommend.

I'm really glad I found Uptown Laser Hair Removal. The staff were friendly and very professional. I got the results I was looking for after the treatment was over. I still had a few stray unwanted hairs that I needed to get done through electrolysis but that was very minor and easy to resolve.

I have struggled with acne for over a decade - trying different dermatologist, aestheticians, and products that never seemed to work. After my second pregnancy my skin was in rough shape. My acne was so bad during both pregnancies it left a lot of scaring - both texture and pigment. I was overwhelmed with all the options available for skin treatments and didn’t know where to turn until I talked to Nicole. I didn’t want to spend tons of money on the wrong treatment or products that wouldn’t make a difference. Nicole had a ton of skincare knowledge and helped me understand what was happening with my skin and what treatments would be beneficial to me. She explained everything so clearly to me, and I felt very comfortable knowing the plan she set up for me would actually work and improve my skin. The process from consultation to first session was efficiently managed. I felt neither rushed nor pressured. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the affordability of the procedures. So much so that I was able to add an area I had wanted to address but didn't think I'd be able to afford. I am extremely pleased with the experience so far, and that includes the results of my first session.

Not only have they made my overall experience comfortable, I have learned a lot about my skin and how to take care of it. As a black woman, I am happy they house a laser for melanated complexions. The actual laser process is flawless. My appointments are less than 20 minutes and scheduling future appointments are easy. Uptown Laser is professional and has their business down to a fine science. I suffer from PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) this can cause severe body hair growth on the chest,back and face. I was thrilled to find a laser treatment center who actually carried the candela laser. This laser is the top of the line and you actually see results. With PCOS it’s tricky to get rid of hormonal hair. I’ve had 3 treatments so far and my hair is thinner and way less growth. This has made me feel so much more confident! I was very discouraged but then i happened to see nurse Kathy on my Instagram feed and I clicked on the page and immediately scheduled a free consult. Where I met all the amazing staff at uptown and then proceeded to explain how the process worked and got me super excited and hopeful , I had my first treatment that same day and let me tell you , just with that one treatment I saw a HUGE improvement. The hair just started shedding after 10 days . I just had my second treatment today and I cannot wait to see the results and be hairless. Once I actually got my treatment, I had a nurse who was really quick (definitely hurt a bit but just part of laser of course), and my second trip, I had Nurse Kathy who talked to me the entire time to where I didn’t even realize we were done already! Such a great place with friendly people who make what I thought was a scary process not so scary after all!

I really like uptown laser, and the results are long lasting, like almost permanent! I struggle with PCOS and even after one treatment the dark facial hair has been drastically reduced, making me feel more feminine and beautiful! The only downside that I've seen so far is the laser does pinch and sting a little, but honestly the sting goes away really quickly and they have cooling mist that helps straight away. The staff are all really compassionate and knowledgeable, plus the price point is super wallet friendly.

My first treatment was with Kathy and she was phenomenal. I was very nervous about everything and she made me feel at ease and answered every question I had. I had my second treatment with Dana and she was just as great! I had some skin issues with my dermatologist and Dana and I went over everything. She made me feel at ease and I still got to have my treatment done. I saw vast improvements from my first treatment to my second and I was so happy. I have been waxing for awhile and laser treatments have changed my life and I feel so much better in my own skin and who I am. I really feel great about my appearance. I had gone to BMA for laser hair removal and not only was it expensive and painful, I got zero results. The quality of the laser at Uptown is amazing and I learned the hard way that if you want something done right it’s better to go to a business that specializes in the particular treatment you’re seeking. The treatments at Uptown have been completely painless and the nurses are passionate about what they do, they keep your skin safe and answer all of your questions. The cost may seem expensive at first but they offer payment plans and compared to other places I looked at this was a great deal! If I could give them 100 stars I would!

I had been wanting to do Lazer hair removal for about 10 years, ever since I tried electrolysis and was told my hair was so thick and wavy and had so much that Lazer hair removal was my best option. Unlike many who struggle for to PCOS, I don't have a medical reason for facial hair, I was just blessed with lovely genetics that include quite a bit of facial hair. Not enough to grow a full beard, but maybe half enough. It's been a pain shaving every morning only to have visible stubble by 4pm. This makes late night events uncomfortable for me unless I shave again in the afternoon. So, if been wanting to find a permanent solution. I was scared from horror stories of burns and skin damage from low quality Lazer hair treatments, but didn't have the funds for quality companies. When I saw the ads for uptown Lazer I googled I would at least see what cost I was looking at and might be able to save up. From the very forest moment they were welcoming and the customer service was amazing. I felt comfortable and reassured. I love that they have payment plans and do their best to make the process smooth. I'm several treatments in and have noticed a great reduction in my dark facial hair. Unfortunately I have a few white ones that will need electrolysis later, but they are not anywhere near as visible. The process for me has been a little painful with each treatment, but so quick! After each treatment it takes a few days for the swelling around each hair to go down and then I notice them falling out. About a week later I only have to shave the white hairs. Totally worth it. A big selling point for me was the guaranteed results, and that if years down the line more hair came through I could come back in for single treatments rather than needing another package. I'm thankful this place exists, if not I would still be dreaming of having out done "some day" I highly recommend this business, they're friendly and the text reminders and easy scheduling are great for me. I can never thank them enough for making this possible for me.

I have always been a hairy lady thanks to genetics from my dad. For as long as I can remember I’ve had to shave my underarms daily because midday I already have a 5 o clock shadow stubble beginning. I had thought about doing laser for years and finally pulled the trigger with Uptown Laser and I’m so glad I did. Everyone on the staff is friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in. I got my first treatment just about two weeks ago, the day of I was so nervous because I thought it was going to hurt. I barely even felt it. Renae was amazing, she talked to me the whole way through to where I wasn’t even thinking about what was happening. I started with my underarms and my bikini line (and plan to do more). Since getting the laser I have barely had to shave at all. My underarms I have been able to go 3-4 days between shaving which has never happened. And what I’m having to shave is minimal. I am so glad I found Uptown and I will be for sure recommending them to everyone.

She’ll educate you about what to expect, set realistic standards, and do exactly what she says she’s going to do. Regarding the facility, honey it’s clean. I know that in such uncertain times, we are all but bathing ourselves in Lysol to keep germ-free and this establishment is no different. I truly cannot recommend Uptown Laser Hair removal enough. As far as my results go, google may flag me if I post a picture (use your imagination) but I can assure you I’m as smooth as a baby’s bottom.

The laser was essentially painless like a small pinch! Update! 9-15-21 I just had my third treatment on my chin and sideburns! No longer need to shave everyday or have 5 o clock shadow! It is darling. Decor is very clean and soothing. I was greeted right away with a darling smiling face who said ‘how are you today?’ Not the typical do you have an appointment? I told her I had just heard about them, and having had a bad experience at another med spa a couple of years ago with a very hot laser, I just had to find out if this was the same. NOPE NOPE! NOPE!! The owners came out to meet me and answer any questions I had. They had me laughing in no time. Feeling completely at ease. They gave me a tour and explained the new cool laser. I booked them and there!!! I’ve had my first treatment and I am so excited to finish. I feel clean, relaxed and happy while at the spa. They even gave me a follow up call that evening to see if I’d had a question or concern. I want to adopt these people.

Went there for facial hair removal as a trans woman, and they've been very good so far. Nice, explain what they do, make sure you know when it's going to hurt. I've only had two treatments so far, so I can't speak to the long term results, but at least for a few weeks after the treatments, there is a significant loss of hair. Don't see the little black spots that were always there, even after shaving. Little blonde ones remain, but they said that would happen, but you can miss shaving a day or two and barely see them, so it's mostly fine. They say my hair has already visually thinned after one treatment. I can't really tell as I don't like to look at myself in the mirror when it is there, so I suppose they've made it so I don't hate looking at myself. One thing is that they can be a bit pushy? I'm a bit of a pushover, but did feel a bit rushed to start it. I mean, I'm completely pleased with the results, I have no regrets, but maybe be sure you want it and are ready to pay before you go. Think it's going to run me around 1600 dollars when all the payments are done. Can be more or less depending on what you get.

They didn’t make any promises they couldn’t keep and even offered to give me a “test” treatment to see how my hair follicles would respond so I could get my money’s worth. With my complexion, I was a candidate for Alexandrite lazer option and I’ve already had about a 15-20% reduction with two treatments on my legs. I’m so grateful and in awe of this business and I 10/10 recommend! I would be a customer for life, but the treatments have been so permanently effective, that I don’t think I’ll have to be back!
